Walking into the Sandler Training | SaleFish LLC office, I was unsure of what to expect. A free seminar about sales training? I thought of many things that could potentially go wrong. Instead I received a warm greeting, a hot cup of coffee, and eventually got seated in a comfortable, modern class room. I was able to chat with the instructors before the session kicked off and found them to be regular, easy to get along with guys. I enjoyed the seminar and I decided to write this review.

The Schedule and Overview

The class lasts a few hours and follows a format which fluctuates between explaining what Sandler SaleFish Sales Training is and how it applies to your specific situation. I enjoyed the pace of the class as it allowed for plenty of interaction. There were only a few members in the class which was a huge benefit to those of us who were there. We received a lot of attention and could participate through discussion, asking questions, and sharing the relevant information specific to our situations. The trainer did a good job of tailoring his presentation to better address actual issues those of us in the class were facing.

We Agreed To An Up Front Contract

One very helpful tool was the concept of an up-front contract. An up-front contract is simply two parties making each other aware of their intentions before the proceeding further. One example is that we were told at the beginning of the class that we would not be allowed to buy anything that day. This immediately relieved the pressure. Without this up front acknowledgment of the purpose of the class it would have been easy to spend half the class thinking of reasons to say “no” to the inevitable sales pitch.

More Than Sales Techniques

In addition to some great sales techniques, I learned SaleFish is about much more than training. The aspects of the transaction, the opening, the qualifying, the proposal, the closing, etc, are all important. However, those things are greatly affected by other larger areas. Sandler covers many of those larger areas with great dexterity. A few examples are:

  •          Executive Training
  •          Business Consulting
  •          Sales Training
  •          Recruiting and Hiring

Through several case studies it was apparent that Sandler does in fact cover much more than phone scripts or closing techniques.

Final Thoughts

I found the Executive Briefing seminar to be both highly educational and motivational. There were several great ideas I gleaned just from participating in our two hour conversation. I’m excited to continue my relationship with the people at SaleFish and receive more training.
